Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Doesn't Detect 6Ghz Band on Wifi Router

Hi all,

Got my hands on the S24 Ultra and found out that it can't detect nor connect to the 6Ghz band on my Asus RT-BE96U. It can detect my 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands as Wifi 7-capable (They've both got the little Wifi 7 icon showing in Available Networks) but once I connect to either band, the little Wifi 7 icon switches to Wifi 6.

The Wifi 7 tab on the phone is enabled and I tried solutions which worked on the S21-23 Ultras such as disabling Switch to better Wi-Fi networks in Intelligent...

Frustrating VPN Double NAT Issues

I recently purchased a NordVPN basic plan, which I intended to use on my Asus RT-AX88U router with configuring OpenVPN using the routers VPN Fusion setting. The reason for this was to ensure the gaming consoles and PCs in my home had VPN protection, at this point I would mention that I am subscribed to Sky UK Full Fibre broadband, which has native IPv6 access. So my broadband connection is Openreach ONT to RT-AX88U to devices.

The configuration of OpenVPN on the router went fine, all...

Is there a detailed guide for setting up dual WAN someone can point out for me?
I specifically want info on Load Balance Routing rules for Dual WAN explained..
When you create a new policy for such a connection, there is Source IP & Destination IP with WAN Unit selection..
I figured Source IP is the IP of the specific device i want to point to use either one of the two available WAN's
What should the Destination IP be tho? I have been using "All" until now...is this correct or should be...

WiFi 5 to 7 Router Upgrade Questions

Currently have a LinkSys EA8500 WiFi 5 router that I have had for 8 years, which does use downlink MU-MIMO and 4x4. We have it centralized in a 2 story house with basement and coverage is good. We have 4 people that could be on the network at the same time, but its only web browsing, productivity and streaming. There is no heavy file sharing or gaming over WiFi, those tasks are hard wired. 600 symmetrical internet connection and would likley never need to go past 1Gbps in the future...

Hi. So I currently have two WAN lines coming in and I have been using an ASUS wireless router for dual WAN. The dual WAN failover/load balance is not amazing so I am looking to replace with separate units. I have been looking at the TPlink Omada gear but I am a bit confused. It appears that the ER8411 is the top of the line and has dual 10GB ports and the rest 1GB. One of my lines is 1.1GB and the other is 1GB so currently I could use one 10GB port for the 1.1GB line and one of the 1GB...

Browsers won't load bosstoneexchange.com

My setup is about as simple as it gets and I can't remember the last time I've changed a Merlin setting. Something has apparently changed since I can no longer access the Boss Tone Exchange (patches for Boss amplifiers, effects, etc.) The only difference I can think of since the last time I accessed it is the firmware update to 3004_388.8_2 from 388.8_0. It's definitely something at the router level since no browsers will load the site on my desktop or my phone. I just get a spinning...

Is it possible to copy flash of Netgear R9000 Router

Hello dear members.

I have two R9000 routers both running Voxel super firmware. One router crashed and the firmware required reinstalling, which the router recovered and is working without issues. However the now fixed one no longer has Kamoj add on with his excellent features which was installed when the beta program was running. I also understand why is no longer available and won't be.

Failing any of the above is there an alternative addon pack as comprehensive as Kamoj which could be...

Hey guys, been having som random issues with my internet connection over the past few months. I'm going to list the issues / troubleshooting I've done to help readers have a better idea of what's going on.

I pay for Cox 1G plan. Initially I had their panoramic gateway, and started having issues with that.
So, I gave them back their gateway, and bought an ARRIS S33, to completely separate the modem and router (even though I had the gateway in bridge mode). Also wanted to completely get...

Merlin firmware and 2.4GHz band drops on AX88u and BE88u

Hi Everyone,

I'm a pretty new member of this forum, even though I've been an old-time passive reader.
I've been using the Merlin firmware with an RT-AX88u, and now RT-BE88u.
The reason why I purchased the BE88u is that I started to believe the AX88u was faulty, but now I don't believe that anymore, since the BE88u is acting the same way.

I just wanted to say that I've been encountering some issues with the latest firmware releases, such as wifi drops of the 2.4GHz band, and I wouldn't have...

Looking for replacement of power hungry SAN

I am running FreeNAS on a Supermicro X8SIL-F server with Xeon L3426 CPU and 32 GB ECC RAM connected through a HBA card to a Dell MD1000 with 15 2TB 3.5" SAS drives.

The setup runs really well and extremely stable and functions predominantly as 9Tb Plex-server and a 7 Tb general purpose share.

My issue is that the MD1000 is extremely power hungry with its 2 x 488W redundant PSU's and very loud fans. I didn't really consider this as i have PV panels and to that point, the PV configuration...

Asuswrt-Merlin 386.14 is now available for all supported AC models. The focus of this release is the merge of an updated GPL, possibly the last GPL merge for the 386 series before support is dropped at the end of 2024.

Changes since 386.13:
Code:
- UPDATED: Merged with GPL 386_52805.
- UPDATED: wget to 1.24.5.
- FIXED: WPS wouldn't start on RT-AC68U (note: starting through
webui was fixed, however starting through button is
still broken for the RT-AC66U_B1, including with...

Switch from Cable WAN to Fiber WAN

I'm thinking about switching from Spectrum cable WAN to Frontier DSL/Fiber WAN. Any pros/cons? Spectrum is a pia and their cost is more but signal is stable. I've read Fiber is different technology and I may have to run an ethernet line from ONT to router(?). Currently have house wired with cable, including MoCA with a couple of filters for signal noise. Do I have to run Ethernet from ONT/box outside connection to router on second floor or can I use existing cable infrastructure? When...

Can port forwarding do failover to an alternative server?

$

I run a postfix SMTP server on one of my home systems that manages my incoming mail. It would be very handy if the port forwarding that sends the incoming SMTP messages to the server could be configured to send them to an alternative server on my LAN if the main mail server is not available for any reason.

Is there anything in asuswrt-merlin that might be able to do this?
