Wireguard client doesn't work

Hi, I'm trying to create a new Wireguard client in the router GUI that connects to my remote VPS VPN server. Before doing so, I tested the vpn config file on another machine and it works. I then stop the vpn on the machine and continue to setup the Wireguard client in the router GUI. So far so good.

Now in a terminal, I ssh into my router, and do ifconfig wgc1 and I can see the interface is up and the IP address of the peer. However when I ping the remote peer IP I get no reply. Similarly...

BQ16 can't find vlan setting page (ASUS deleted the vlan item on official page)

Before buying BQ16, I checked the technical specifications page on the official page and the product LAN supports VLAN.

But after I bought it, I couldn’t find the vlan page on Lan.

I asked Asus via email and they replied that BQ16 does not support VLAN.

As a newby I have been trying to configure my RT-AX88U-Pro router to isolate a camera system connected to LAN poort 2 from the rest on the LAN, so basically to setup a guestnet which only has access to internet.

Funny enough with Asus stock firmware I can setup a VLAN and configure LAN poort 2 as Access port (untagged), then configure the guestnet with DHCP, etc... but I had to flash my router with Merlin (RT-AX88U_PRO_3004_388.6_2) to be able to configure routed IPTV. After following the...

Login denied - factory reset - Wifi radios now wont work - RT-AC86U

TLDR: randomly became locked out of the Asus UI page after rebooting my ISP router- router worked as it should then did factory reset to gain control - wifi radios now don't work


I was having issues with my Optimum Fiber, kept having the internet drop, lasting only a few seconds at at time before coming back online.

ISP came out and they checked their equipment and gave the all good. (issue resolved after they left and then started a week or two later, their wifi also...

RT-BE88U won't connect to internet after reboot.

This is the 2nd BE88U I have bought that won't connect to the internet after a manual reboot. The first one I returned thinking it might just be a defective unit, but the second unit is doing the same thing. The first was bought from Best Buy and the second from Amazon. The initial setup on both went well. Everything seemed to working well until I did a manual reboot thru the webUI. Asus AXE16000 Random Reboots

Hi there.

I am experiencing random reboots on my Asus AXE16000 the reboot issue can happen multiple times a day and there is no specific time the reboot issue will occur.

The auto reboot option is disabled and the router is running the latest Asus firmware.

I have attached a link to a copy of the recent system logs and would be grateful if someone could please take a look at them and see if there is anything obvious that is trigging these reboots?

Asus AX11000 VPN Fusion Notification

I just setup the AX11000 router using VPN Fusion with NordVPN. My goal was to have one computer on my network using the vpn exclusively and everything else open to my wan ip. It works as I wanted. Buy what I would like it some way of getting notified if Nordvpn disconnects, as most of then do periodically. Is there some way of doing that? Also if my vpn goes down what happens to the machine that was using it? No connection or revert to the wan ip?

Portforwarding issue

Hi,

I have an ASUS router and have enabled a DDNS service with Duckdns and registered on Asus. I cannot reach this from outside network. I have tried many different ports but all refuse connection. When I do an NSLookup with the duckdns address it links to my external IP correctly so not sure what is wrong.

I would be grateful if anyone can help with this

I have Verizon gigabit at my house......I used to have the Netgear Orbi RBK50 which worked pretty well but I wanted to upgrade to WIFI 6 as well as have separate 2.4 and 5 ghz wifi, so I got the Asus Zenwifi XT8, the router plus three nodes.....the coverage is pretty good, but the speeds, speciifically the upload speeds, are significantly slower than it should be.......I was getting close to 900 up and down with both the Verizon router and the Netgear Orbi, so I know I'm getting the speeds...

AiMesh Binding erratic?

AiMesh network AX68U with AC66U-B1 node.
Merlin 388.8.2 on the host, Asus latest on the node.

I have been binding fixed location devices that would sometimes randomly 'roam' then seem to be stuck on the weaker signal (as reported by others), as well as an odd client or two that seem to insist on preferring the weaker node signal.

Today I find binding seems to not work? In the GUI I can select the binding and it seems to complete but afterwards I dont get the "BOUND" icon for the...

I'm using AX86U and upgrade to latest 3004.388.8_2 firmware.
device always crash and all the wireless client disconnect.

I have add a usb fan in the back of this AX86U, so the hardware temperature should not any problem:

I recently updated the firmware on my Asus RT-AX88U Pro to 3004.388.8_2. The router was working fine prior to the update, but immediately afterward, the WAN connection became unstable. It drops every few minutes, sometimes for just a couple of seconds, other times as long a minute. The LAN connection is fine, but internet drops. Has anyone been able to update their RT-BE96U from stock 3.0.0.6.102_37024 to any other firmware? I've tried Merlin 3006.102.1 and 3006.102.2-beta1 with both failing to update. I've also tried flashing older stock fw with the same results (I've seen the fw notes about downgrading this build). In any case, you get the error message saying the flash failed and the router reboots happily like nothing went wrong running like it did before the flash attempt. Factory resetting before...

RDP across AIMesh Nodes?

I have a windows 11 PC with a wired connection to an AIMesh node (AC68). The main router is an AX86Pro. I have a windows 11 laptop and a Chromebook. Both have no issues making an RDP connection to the Windows 11PC when they are within a foot or so of the node (and so, I am assuming, connected via wifi to the node and not the main router). But if I try to make an RDP connection from another location, when I am likely to be connected to the main router, the Windows 11 PC attempt errors out...
