RT-AX86U with latest version 3004.388.8_2 always crash and reboot

I'm using AX86U and upgrade to latest 3004.388.8_2 firmware.
device always crash and all the wireless client disconnect.

I have add a usb fan in the back of this AX86U, so the hardware temperature should not any problem:

Anyone else have this issue? 2 Google Nest Minis plus a bunch of 2.4GHz smart lights and plugs of various brands I connect to using Smart Life on Android. They all connect perfectly to my old TP-Link router. On my new RT-BE88U they will not connect no matter what I do. A couple of them have connected using their in-built alternative method of broadcasting their own SSID to connect to(slow blink vs fast blink). Hi all,

I am currently using a RT-AX86u router running the latest Merlin 3004.388.8_2 firmware. I am using the Wireguard VPN client feature to have two devices tunning all their traffic over this VPN connection, which works great. The only issue I am facing is that these clients somehow use a mix of the local DNS as well as the DNS from the VPN server.

Hey everyone
So a friend of mine bought an used RT-AX86U and asked me to take a look at it because the wifi led are not lighting up and the SSIDs wont show up. Installing merlinWRT didn't fix it either. Looking at the wifi settings opens a popup asking for a country code and the channels are stuck on auto as the only option.
Already tried full reset and all that, here's the syslog, maybe some of you guys have an idea on what to try next!

This is my setup, I have a GT-AXE-16000, two RT-AX92U, three Lyras and I recently purchase a GT-AX6000. The AXE-16000 has the beta firmware and I enable an IoT and guest networks. After enabling it, the two RT-AX92U started individual, open, guest networks, when they connect as most of the time they are showing as not connected. The 86U has been a great router, albeit overkill for my use. I don't use any of the advanced features on it besides the VPN server to connect to my network remotely. Still, I'm thinking about replacing it because almost all of my devices are now either ethernet, Wifi 6, or 6e.

I live in a two bedroom 1000sqft apartment in a crowded complex. 2.4ghz is pretty much useless for anything except IoT devices. 5ghz works OK for now on my 300mbps fiber connection, but sometimes it'll dip lower than...

RT-AX86U and network issue or ISP (Rogers) Issue?

Hi there,

We have had major issues working from home, with connections dropping. We think it's Rogers (ISP), but proving it to them has been hard. Another tech is coming to our home at the end of the week, and I would like to have some more evidence for them.

I do not believe our router(s) are causing the issue. I have removed all the nodes from Mesh and only had the main AX86 running, but I still have issues.

Devices connecting to RT-AX82U, but not to the Internet ….

Devices connect to the router, but say “no Internet”. I’ve been playing around, trying to figure out what’s going wrong. I created a guest network without security and everything I connect to that has Internet. All this started happening just about two weeks ago and I might have upgraded to the latest firmware then. Is there something wrong with that firmware? Shall I try to go back to an earlier version and where will I find one?

Hello everyone, I am new here and looking for some help with my RT-AC86U.

Over the last few days I started experiencing frequent internet connectivity interruptions: video audio streams interrupted, unable to refresh web page.
I setup continuous ping -t google.com and this quickly revealed every few minutes connection was being dropped for few seconds.

Asus RT-AX86U no wifi. LEDs off.

My router login stopped working using phone app. Only way to get logged back in was to push the tiny reset button on router. I did that, got through setup, connected to internet via Ethernet. But the wifi isn't available. LEDs for both 2.4 GHz and 5Ghz are off.

Did another restore to factory default through web interface. Same issue. Played with all the wifi settings I could think to try. Same issue. Did a hard reset holding the WPS button while turning on...
