I'm using an Asus RT-AC66U router as an Access Point, my main router being an Asus DSL-AC68U.
The problem I was having was that VDSL Internet on the 68U stopped every time after about an hour streaming via the 66U to a Fire TV Stick or Chromecast and would not reconnect to the Internet unless the 66U was rebooted.
So I was toying with trying the DDWRT firmware when I came across this and decided to try upgrading the 66U AP to 380.57 first. Result! I have been able to watch streamed TV...
