Adding a Netgear GS108 to my network questions

Hi, I needed to unbox my GS108 last week to add in my old NAS as a secondary backup. This is only connected to my 1st Asus AC68u to put both NAS's and my UPS on the network. As this switch has 16gb bandwidth would I benefit running it direct to the AC68 to link up my wired equipment including the 2nd AC68U to take the load off the router?
