This is likely a rookie question, but I have to ask it:
I am opening a restaurant and need to run CAT 6 to several areas where POS terminals and VOIP telephones are located. Each of my runs will terminate in a central location.
For longer runs, I have seen people run one (1) CAT 6 wire (with a second wire as backup) to an area further away from the patch panel. The CAT 6 plugs into a switch. The various POS, VOIP phones and anything else needing an IP address are plugged into...
