ipv6 instabiliy

does anyone else notice a instability issue when using ipv6 native wan?
everytime i turn on ipv6 for wan my network goes all wonky and slow
when i turn ipv6 off it works fine and nice and stable

i have modem with ip 192.168.1.1. it connected to wan port of ac68u. lan ip of ac68u 10.0.0.1, wan - dinamyc from isp.
i ssh to ac68u:

Some users complain about executing scripts after updating to v378.55 on this guide https://www.hqt.ro/transmission-on-asuswrt-routers-through-optware/#comment-2147444328
The only way is to put "sh" before script and it's fine, is som code changed in firmware?
On mine rt-ac66u and rt-ac56u working fine but I didn't restored to factory defaults like other users did.
Can somebody else make some tests and report here please?

I'm having a problem with my internet connection. When my wired connection drops out, I have to restart my computer in order for the internet to work again. Wireless devices do not have this issue. I play poker and this can be very annoying. I'm with virgin media and use the superhub 2ac provided.

I need to use the FTP server to provide a place for some ip cameras to upload to. The problem is that enabling FTP opens it up the port externally. Is there a way to block external exposure while leaving it open internally?

Hi,

I have dual wan with wan and usb

I want load balancing but i don't properly understand load balancing configuration numbers

So if i write 5 and 1 :

does that means for 5mb on primary it will consume 1mb from secondary ?

Or will that mean secondary will be five times slower in speed ?

Can you please help me understand what those numbers actually mean. .

Hi,

I've installed Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 on my Asus AC68U router and it looks very good, lots of interesting ways of configuring the router.

Have installed pytty as well, to be able to manualy add rules with iptables via the SSH interface and looks like i managed that part ok, but when i reboot the router, alle the rules are gone, they are not saved.

Tried saving the changes with "iptables-save", and to dump the data to a file ("iptables-save > /jffs/scripts/iptables"), where i can...

I have an ASUS RT AC 68cp router with an attached seagate drive attched to the 3.0 port. i setup the samba file share to access it from windows 7 desktop however when i go to access some of the shared folders after i log in with the user name i setup on the asus router as RW access i can not delete some folders but not others as it says there is a permissions error or that need permission from that user when i am the user that logged in...

I setup a VPN client without any problem. However there is no webUI for the selective routing. Can you help me?

On computer A I navigate to RT-AC68R 's webpage and see login screen Main_Login.asp, but don't login.

If now on computer B I do the same, I see the message that another user has to logout first. But that another user did not login.

I got this message the last time I tried to log into the routers web site,

"Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-AC68P.To access the settings of RT-AC68P, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number."

Has anybody else gotten this message and if you did how did you resolve it. I still have internet access but just not able...

Hey people,

I have been using TomatoUSB by Shibby on my RT-N16 for quite some time now and found that if I ever needed to reconnect the PPPoE connection (same result on AsusWRT, stock and Merlin's builds), it took at least 20-60 seconds to get the connection back on BUT when I do the same thing on DD-WRT (same router), it connects in around 5 seconds! I also tried a friend's TP-Link router and compared the stock and DD-WRT for PPPoE connecting speed and found the same result, i.e., faster...
